Academic LifeStudents come to Williams to live and study among peers who share their interest in ideas. They come to be challenged and surprised by professors who are more likely to ask questions than state facts. Quite a few students arrive undecided on a major, and many who think they know what they want to study change their minds along the way. They explore things here they never dreamed about in high school. And they examine familiar subjects in entirely new ways. Our students spend four years learning to write well, to think carefully across disciplines and media, and to voice their opinions with clarity and perspective. They graduate as multidimensional people who are confident stepping into any situation with a critical view. |
