The Big PictureWhat you should know about Williams: we’re 2,000 or so students and 300 or so professors living together on 450 intellectually fertile acres in the northwest corner of Massachusetts. We focus on undergraduate education, and our students get the benefit of full faculty attention and direct access to tremendous resources.
We attract accomplished, motivated people who tend to ask tough questions and who enjoy thinking through them in an environment where people take their studies—but not themselves—quite seriously. We’re nestled in a mountain valley, far enough from urban noise to focus on the reasons that we’re here: to learn together through intense osmosis, to enjoy our lives by doing the things we love, and to try our hardest to identify with our mascot; the elusive Purple Cow. |
