First-Year Early Decision Previous Next Play
Early Decision
Application Deadline: November 10 (postmarked)
Notification Date: December 15

If you’re sure Williams is your first choice, Early Decision is a good way to get a jump-start on the college application process and, ideally, figure out where you’re going to college by the middle of your senior year.

Early Decision applications must be postmarked by November 10 for a December 15 notification. With your guidance counselor and parent or legal guardian, complete and submit the Early Decision Agreement form, indicating that you understand that an Early Decision application is binding. This means that if you are admitted to Williams as an Early Decision candidate, you must withdraw all applications to other colleges and not apply to any others. Failure to comply could result in the cancellation of your acceptance to Williams.

Applicants not accepted under Early Decision will ordinarily be deferred for reconsideration under the Regular Admission plan. Students with qualifications below Williams’ general admission standard, however, will receive final notification in December.
